關(guān)于論壇
2020年江南大學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院發(fā)起了新一輪學(xué)術(shù)會議,以“民生智慧·設(shè)計(jì)未來”為主體框架,結(jié)合當(dāng)前設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)科前沿領(lǐng)域話題,進(jìn)行系列研討和深入對話。2020年會議主題聚焦輕工特色,結(jié)合設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)科發(fā)展前沿,開展學(xué)術(shù)對話討論,2021年會議關(guān)注在地文化的價值創(chuàng)生,通過對全球化中地域差異所帶來的文化差異的反思,強(qiáng)調(diào)多元文化的價值實(shí)現(xiàn)。2022年,會議將聚焦面向未來轉(zhuǎn)型,立足百年未有之大變局,面向?qū)W科未來轉(zhuǎn)型和發(fā)展變化,展開探討。
作為分論壇之一,本論壇在持續(xù)111引智基地的研究主題基礎(chǔ)上,結(jié)合本次大會“面向未來轉(zhuǎn)型”主題,邀請到4位來自該領(lǐng)域的國際專家共同探討國際案例和中國方案,重新審視未來轉(zhuǎn)型當(dāng)中體驗(yàn)設(shè)計(jì)如何與多學(xué)科合作,積極主動適應(yīng)環(huán)境、經(jīng)濟(jì)和社會多元化變革。各個國家和地區(qū)教育和研究先行者的探索經(jīng)驗(yàn)分享,有助于我們能夠獲得更多的啟發(fā)、分析和判斷,共同為中國社會的轉(zhuǎn)型以及面向未來的發(fā)展尋找設(shè)計(jì)之道。

演講主題:Change: Service Design and the Unified Field Theory
Craig Vogel教授已經(jīng)擔(dān)任管理者、研究者和教師超過三十年的時間。自從在Pratt學(xué)院獲得工業(yè)設(shè)計(jì)碩士學(xué)位以來,他曾任教于伊利諾伊理工大學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院、 芝加哥藝術(shù)學(xué)院、卡內(nèi)基梅隆大學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院及辛辛那提大學(xué)DAAP學(xué)院。 他是《創(chuàng)造突破性產(chǎn)品》(2001年出版并在2015年重印)和《物聯(lián)網(wǎng)設(shè)計(jì)》一書的合著者。 《創(chuàng)造突破性產(chǎn)品》一書被翻譯成中文,并在整個亞洲的整合產(chǎn)品開發(fā)的教學(xué)和實(shí)踐中產(chǎn)生了深遠(yuǎn)影響。 在過去的20年中,他一直在中國講學(xué)并舉辦研討會。 在過去的8年中,他一直與江南大學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院的課程發(fā)展合作。
Professor Craig Vogel has been an administrator, researcher and teacher for over thirty years. Since earning his master's degree in industrial design from Pratt Institute, he has taught at Illinois Institute of Technology's School of Design, the Art Institute of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon University's School of Design, and the University of Cincinnati's DAAP School. He is the co-author of Creating Breakthrough Products (published in 2001 and reprinted in 2015) and Designing for the Internet of Things. The book "Creating Breakthrough Products" was translated into Chinese and has had a profound impact on the teaching and practice of integrated product development throughout Asia. He has been lecturing and giving seminars in China for the past 20 years. For the past 8 years, he has been cooperating with the curriculum development of Jiangnan University School of Design.
摘要:A little over a century ago a new idea emerged. It was after a series of changes: a world war, a global pandemic, electrification of cities, powered flight, radio and the continued move to cities and mass manufacturing and the emergence of modern art. In the Weimer Republic in Germany a group of artists, designers and architects came together under the direction of an architect/designer Walter Gropius. The Bauhaus philosophy and resulting curriculum became the model for 20th century modern design education and practice. It became a new integrated approach across all creative fields. Today we are facing the same scale of dramatic change and it requires a new argument for design education and practice. In his book, Thank You for Being Late, Thomas Freidman describes how changes in 2007 were as significant as those a century ago and Covid has accelerated that change. The global digital service economy is the new force driving change at an unprecedented speed. Service Design is the new idea underlying all design and may provide the unified field theory needed to integrate all aspects of education and practice for this century.

董華博士于2020年成為倫敦布魯奈爾大學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院首任院長,此前她分別在拉夫堡大學(xué)和同濟(jì)大學(xué)擔(dān)任教授。她在同濟(jì)大學(xué)取得學(xué)士和碩士學(xué)位, 在劍橋大學(xué)取得博士學(xué)位。其研究聚焦于包容性設(shè)計(jì),發(fā)表相關(guān)書籍6本,論文近200篇。她為英國、中國、芬蘭的企業(yè)做設(shè)計(jì)研究咨詢。她2019年當(dāng)選為國際設(shè)計(jì)研究學(xué)會會士(DRS Fellow),2021年入選英國50名女工程師, 2022年當(dāng)選設(shè)計(jì)研究學(xué)會國際咨詢委員會委員 (DRS IAC member)
Professor Hua Dong is the Inaugural Dean of Brunel Design School. She has edited 6 books on the topics of inclusive design, assistive technology and universal access, and authored/co-authored around 200 papers. Hua has extensive experience in providing specialised research consultancy to industries in the UK, Finland and China on inclusive design and sustainability. Hua was elected Fellow of the Design Research Society in 2019; she received the award of ‘Engineering Heroes’ – the Top 50 Women in Engineering 2021 from Women’s Engineering Society. From Jun 2022 Hua became the DRS International Advisory Committee member.
摘要:Designing for Diversity can be a common theme for both inclusive design and sustainable design, and the ‘diversity’ here refers to both the diverse population and biodiversity. Discussing designing for diversity bridges care for people and care for the planet, which should have been considered alongside each other, but often not. In this talk, the green and just design transition will be discussed, with examples that consider plants, wildlife and even wider natural systems as ‘users’ of the design, extending key stakeholders from people to the nature. The connection between inclusive design and sustainable design is made through caring for diversity.

現(xiàn)任香港理工大學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院副院長(研究),學(xué)院研究委員會主席、公共設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)講座教授、共融設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)勵學(xué)教授、公共設(shè)計(jì)研究室主任、博導(dǎo)。為多個設(shè)計(jì)及工程學(xué)會資深會員。曾獲邀出任多間大學(xué)的客座教授和訪問學(xué)者,包括英國劍橋大學(xué)、美國麻省理工學(xué)院(富布萊特學(xué)者)、新加坡國立大學(xué)(亞洲學(xué)人)、美國加州大學(xué)柏克萊分校、中央美術(shù)學(xué)院、清華大學(xué)、武漢理工大學(xué)等。參與多項(xiàng)與設(shè)計(jì)理論、社會與文化有關(guān)的研究及設(shè)計(jì)項(xiàng)目,主要范疇包括公共設(shè)計(jì)、公共設(shè)計(jì)政策及管理、用者接受、共融設(shè)計(jì)、彈性設(shè)計(jì)(FlexiDesign)等。他擁有60多項(xiàng)美國及國際的發(fā)明及設(shè)計(jì)專利,獲逾70多項(xiàng)國際發(fā)明及設(shè)計(jì)獎。在國際學(xué)術(shù)期刊發(fā)表逾500篇研究論文。
SIU Kin Wai Michael is Associate Dean (Research), Eric C. Yim Professor in Inclusive Design and Chair Professor of Public Design, School of Design, PolyU. He is Founder and Leader of Public Design Lab. He is fellow of numerous professional engineering and design organisations. He has been invited by a number of universities as visiting professor and scholar, including the University of Cambridge, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Fulbright Scholar), National University of Singapore (ASIA Fellow), UC Berkeley, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, Wuhan University of Technology (The Chu Tian Scholar Program). His research areas are in public design, policy and management of public design, user reception, inclusive design, and FlexiDesign?. He solely owns over 60 US and international patents and design registrations, and over 70 international invention and design grand awards. He has published over 500 research papers in top-tier academic journals.
摘要:In the recent years, the society has got new needs and challenges due to the endless social, cultural, physical, environmental, economic and other different changes. The situation has brought a number of benefits and opportunities to people while it has also created many drawbacks, uncertainties, worries and difficulties. Design research is always claimed to run at the front-end of the society. Since the mid of last century, it cannot be denied that design research as well as other related studies and explorations have actually brought quite a lot of “new” ideas, experiences and practical advancements for the benefit of people’s daily life. On the other hand, with the rapid increase of needs and challenges, increasing people have also commented, and even condemned, that design research and its practice cannot advance at a pace together with the speed of the changes in the recent years.

演講主題:From Muscles and Nerves to Product: An Anatomy Perspective to Design for the Users
Cheryl Zhenyu Qian 博士是普渡大學(xué)工業(yè)設(shè)計(jì)交互設(shè)計(jì)專業(yè)的全職教授。作為跨界者,錢博士熱衷于研究和開發(fā)認(rèn)知系統(tǒng)以豐富知識,采用跨學(xué)科研究方法來提高設(shè)計(jì)可操作性,創(chuàng)新技術(shù)以適應(yīng)用戶體驗(yàn)。她目前的研究重點(diǎn)是 1) 用戶體驗(yàn)設(shè)計(jì)中物理和虛擬交互的和諧整合,2) 采用交互設(shè)計(jì)理論、工具和評估方法來審查、比較、指導(dǎo)和增強(qiáng)產(chǎn)品設(shè)計(jì)成果,以及 3)將創(chuàng)新設(shè)計(jì)思維應(yīng)用于視覺分析領(lǐng)域。作為一名學(xué)術(shù)研究人員,除了獲得 16 項(xiàng) IEEE VAST 挑戰(zhàn)系統(tǒng)設(shè)計(jì)獎(2010~2022)外,Cheryl 還在交互設(shè)計(jì)、數(shù)字學(xué)習(xí)等跨學(xué)科領(lǐng)域的期刊、會議論文集和書籍章節(jié)中發(fā)表了 100 多篇出版物,信息可視化,人機(jī)交互,工程教育。
Dr. Cheryl Zhenyu Qian is a full professor of Interaction Design in Industrial Design at Purdue University. Being a boundary crosser, Dr. Qian is interested in studying and developing cognitive systems to enrich knowledge, employing interdisciplinary research methodologies to improve design quality, and adopting innovative technologies to accommodate user experience. Her current research is focused on 1) the harmonious integration of physical and virtual interactions in the user experience design, 2) adopting interaction design theories, tools, and evaluation methods to review, compare, guide, and enhance product design outcomes, and 3) employing innovative design thinking into the domain of visual analytics. As an academic researcher, apart from winning sixteen IEEE VAST challenge system design awards (2010~2022), Cheryl has built up a 100+ publication list ranging from journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters in the interdisciplinary domains of Interaction Design, Digital Learning, Information Visualization, Human-computer Interaction, and Engineering Education.
摘要:The talk aims to introduce a new perspective to wearable product design – anatomy. We have used to incorporate ergonomics and cognition into our design education. Students should understand that body is always in motion, and the product design surrounds, is suspended from, or attached to the body should match the body’s dynamic nature from the inside out. Dr. Qian wants to lead students to understand more fundamental details about our body and use several ongoing design cases to demonstrate the potential paths.
